SXSW Sydney is proud to reveal XR+, the next evolution of our immersive and interactive content program for 2025. Formerly known as the XR Showcase, XR+ broadens the scope to spotlight a wider spectrum of interactive and immersive creative technologies, from virtual, augmented and mixed reality to interactive installations, extended screens, custom-built hardware and immersive environment.

This expansion reflects the rapidly growing innovation in the immersive tech space, where creators are blending mediums, challenging conventions, and redefining how audiences engage with reality. XR+ embraces this convergence, offering a platform for projects that use technology to craft powerful, participatory experiences across entertainment, storytelling, education, and beyond.

Submissions are open to artists, developers, creative technologists, and designers working across immersive and interactive mediums. Whether you're presenting a finished piece or an experimental prototype, XR+ celebrates bold ideas, play, innovation, and the future of experience design.
